21st Century Alliance
- 21st Century Alliance, a farmer-owned enterprise enables farmers to develop value added products through cooperative ventures. One Alliance-formed enterprise, Golden Forest Ag Fibers Cooperative, will be making straw-based construction materials. Other Alliance cooperatives include a dairy cooperative, a pinto bean processing plant, and a flour tortilla mill.

Ag Processing Inc
- Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a farmer-owned cooperative engaged in the procurement, processing, marketing, and transportation of grains and grain products. AGP was formed in 1983 and today is comprised of 285 local cooperatives and 10 regional cooperatives, representing 300,000 farmers from 16 states throughout the United States and Canada. AGP operates nine soybean processing plants.

Pine Lake Corn Processors LLC
- Pine Lake Corn Processors LLC was formed for the purpose of building, owning and operating a 15 million gallon per year fuel ethanol plant near Eldora and Steamboat Rock, Iowa (located in north central Iowa). The project is presently in the financial and design planning stages, with construction completion is targeted in August of 2002. The ethanol produced from approximately 5.6 million bushels of corn feedstock will be sold for blending with gasoline as an octane enhancer, and as a fuel oxygenate. The company is a limited liability company and presently is governed and managed by eleven Directors. The company is offering membership units for sale to other Iowa residents.

Tall Corn Ethanol Cooperative
- Tall Corn Ethanol is a Joint Venture between Tall Corn Ethanol Cooperative and TCE, LLC. The Cooperative consists of 450 producer and non-producer investors. Members have invested $9.7 million and are committed to delivering 4.85 million bushels of corn to the plant annually. It will take approximately 14.8 million bushels of corn to produce 40 million gallons of ethanol. Tall Corn Ethanol will also produce 120,000 tons of Distiller's Dry Grain annually, a co-product of the process used to make ethanol from corn. Tall Corn Ethanol will create 33 new jobs to manage, operate, and maintain the ethanol plant, representing a payroll of 1.3 million dollars. The Broin & Associates designed project will take 5,500 yards of cement and 50 to 75 workers on the site. Construction will take about 14 months with completion projected for fall of 2002.

- Thumb Oilseed, a farmer-owned cooperative with 205 members, operates a soybean crushing facility that is capable of converting over one million bushels of soybeans into 6.8 million pounds of oil, 22,000 tons of meal, and 2,200 tons of hulls annually. In addition to high-quality food oil, TOPC produces oil that is used as a feedstock for bio-based motor oil.
