| Tall Corn Ethanol is a Joint Venture between Tall Corn Ethanol Cooperative and TCE, LLC. The Cooperative consists of 450 producer and non-producer investors. Members have invested $9.7 million and are committed to delivering 4.85 million bushels of corn to the plant annually. It will take approximately 14.8 million bushels of corn to produce 40 million gallons of ethanol. Tall Corn Ethanol will also produce 120,000 tons of Distiller's Dry Grain annually, a co-product of the process used to make ethanol from corn. Tall Corn Ethanol will create 33 new jobs to manage, operate, and maintain the ethanol plant, representing a payroll of 1.3 million dollars. The Broin & Associates designed project will take 5,500 yards of cement and 50 to 75 workers on the site. Construction will take about 14 months with completion projected for fall of 2002. |
